A cup of Jo: Childhood Memories

So from now on I will be occasionally posting about me. No I'm not conceited, but I do want to share things about myself that make me ME.  The new posts titled "A cup of Jo" could talk about a number of things.  It could be:
 My opinion on a topic
A story of myself
A list of things that I like or don't like
etc.

You get the idea?

FOR THE FIRST CUP OF JO, I will be talking about my childhood..

Please don't laugh when I share this. When I was younger (before moving back to NC for the second time) I had like no friends.  I was very very shy & always hid behind my mom when strangers came to say hi. The only people I really would hang out with were my cousins & a neighbor across the street.  Now at the time I seriously didn't care about how many friends I had -or lacked in this case.
I was a pretty happy kid. Yes having a brother or sister then would have been fun, but it didn't bother me that much.
I was such a tomboy.  I would be the kid who woke up on saturday mornings to watch cartoons & eat cereal then go outside to ride bikes with my neighbor.  I hated pink and still do to this day.  I collected hotwheels and played with legos. I skated for hours every day. I played soccer for years. I wore t-shirts & sneakers everyday. I had a scooby doo birthday party TWICE in my life.

Corny enough yet? :)

Me and my two cousins Matt & Phillip would always hangout. Summertime was THE BEST for us.  We would do crazy stuff like:
- ride moving dolleys & Fisher Price mini coup cars down hills while dodging our parent's cars and a gas tank.
- stuff cookies in air vents.

- make straw wrapper jewelry in hopes of making a fortune at our "yard sales".

- put on concerts in the garage & sing "I Want it that Way" by Backstreet Boys at the top of our lungs.
- collect people's mail & put it at their doorsteps thinking we were doing them a favor. (To them not so much..)

Those are just a few of the crazy things we did. Looking back I think I had an awesome childhood. Those silly memories that probably seem lame mean the world to me.

Thanks for letting me share a cup of Jo with you!
